International Food Standard

The International Food Standard serves to review and certify systems for securing foodstuffs security and quality in production of foodstuffs. It is based on the known quality management standard and contains further principles of ‘good production practice’ (cleaning, disinfection, pest control, maintenance, servicing and training) and HACCP.

Bio-Siegel

The Bio-Siegel is the federal symbol for products from ecological agriculture. It represents the controlled production of products from biological produce. The certificate clearly says: ‘Bio on the outside, bio on the inside’. Producers and processors whose foodstuffs are produced in compliance with the EU Eco-regulation and bear the corresponding tick mark may label their products with the federal Bio-Siegel. In the certified companies an eco audit is carried out once a year so the compliance with the standards is secured permanently. Austerschmidt Frische Bäcker is audited by ABCERT (DE-006-Eco-checkpoint).
